Seoul indie rockers Bye Bye Badman are creating laid-back disco-esque vibes.

Despite having only put out one song, Bye Bye Badman are one of Korea’s most exciting bands. They fuse indie rock sounds with a chilled out electro-disco vibe to make beautiful summery music.

The band are set to release their first full length album in April and are currently busy putting the finishing touches to it. If their first song, the brilliant ‘day-time disco’ track Young Wave, is anything to go by then this could be the album of the summer (at least in South Korea anyway).

One highlight for the band was being told by britpop legend Tim Burgess that they were responsible for his favourite Charlatans cover. This has to have meant a great deal to a band who take their name from fellow britpop band, Stone Roses.

Other than working on the album the band have been a huge staple on the Korean live music scene with regular dates all over the country. This came to a head recently when they supported Noel Gallagher when he played in Seoul. While still in their early stages, this is a sign that this band will be onto big things.

The first album will be released next month and the single Young Wave is available for free on their site.
